Linde Recognized as a Leader in Diversity & Inclusion by Bloomberg and Forbes
Guildford, UK, March 4, 2020 - Linde (NYSE:LIN; FWB:LIN) today announced it has been recognized by Bloomberg and Forbes for its leadership in diversity and inclusion.
Linde has joined the 2020 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI) which tracks the financial performance of public companies committed to supporting gender equality through policy development, representation and transparency. It is considered the global benchmark for companies as index constituents are individually selected based on rigorous analysis of company statistics, employee policies and community engagement. The data is drawn from information gathered by Bloomberg, whose gender reporting framework is the only international standardized reporting and disclosure method for workplace gender data.
Linde has also been named on the Forbes 2020 list of The Best Employers for Diversity. Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to highlight America's top 500 employers for diversity, based on an online survey of more than 60,000 Americans. The third annual list ranks employers that not only received the most recommendations, but also boast the most diverse boards and executive ranks, and the most proactive diversity and inclusion initiatives.
"Inclusion is a core value at Linde, and we are proud to be recognized for our transparency and inclusive talent practices," said Vanessa Abrahams-John, Chief Diversity Officer for Linde. "Being included in these two notable lists underscores our commitment to creating equal opportunities in the workplace and ensuring that Linde continues to attract and retain the diverse talent necessary to meet our customers' needs."
